Professor Wang served as the 13th President of the ISDE. His participation with societies in East Asian countries, such as the People’s Republic of China and Japan, facilitated the connection with the Chinese Society of Diseases of the Esophagus and the ISDE. This has been an outstanding benefit and resulted in an increased number of Chinese members.
